Death Becomes Her Continued

In conjunction with my previous study on Orpheus and Eurydice, i wanted to create a blank slate, a tabula rasa, instigating experience and perception from the viewer to leave more room to stir imagination. Sticking to my primary sources and using the initial quote from Black Orpheus i set out to produce a theatrical set of images. I looked too Jeff Walls famous piece ' a sudden gust of wind (1993)' throughout my aesthetic production and figure placement. The ghoulish and ghostly landscapes are open to interpretation as the set created has been left without narrative. Beyond the photographs there are altered processes that occur, textures of deep colours and tones with unknown materials an aftermath, a visual interpretation of the emotional artefacts that we leave behind which become the layers of our personal language, abstract, poetic, mysterious and beautiful.
